TERMS OF SERVICE.

IoT & Robotics Rwanda (IRR) is a community platform dedicated to strengthening Rwanda’s embedded systems, electronics, IoT, robotics, and automation ecosystem. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines.

• Eligibility: Membership is open to students, engineers, makers, educators, and innovators with an authentic interest in hardware technologies.
• Account Integrity: You must register with a genuine email address and maintain the confidentiality of your password. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Truthful Identity: You must not impersonate other individuals or organizations. You may not claim false affiliations, certifications, or institutional endorsements.

To preserve community trust and safety, you agree NOT to:

• Upload Prohibited Content: Upload executable binaries (`.exe`, `.dll`, `.bat`, `.sh`, `.php`), malware, exploit scripts, or unauthorized copyright material.
• Abuse Platform Infrastructure: Attempt to circumvent rate limits, probe private networks via SSRF, tamper with cookies, or perform unauthorized vulnerability scanning.
• Fabricate Claims: Fabricate project outcomes, partner affiliations, event attendances, or sponsor endorsements.
• Spam & Unsolicited Promotion: Post commercial spam, cryptocurrency giveaways, or affiliate links across forum discussions.

Your Work Remains Yours: You retain full intellectual property ownership of your schematics, PCB layouts, firmware code, and project documentation.

License to Community: By publishing projects, forum posts, or course materials on IRR, you grant IoT & Robotics Rwanda a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, index, and archive your contributions within the community platform.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: Hardware engineering, robotics, high-voltage electronics (mains AC, motor controllers), lithium polymer batteries, and laser/soldering tools carry inherent physical risk of electrical shock, fire, and bodily injury.

• All schematics, code, tutorials, and circuit designs published on IRR are provided for educational and experimental purposes only without warranty of any kind.
• Builders must exercise professional laboratory precautions, verify circuit wiring before powering prototypes, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• IoT & Robotics Rwanda assumes no liability for hardware damage, property loss, or physical injuries resulting from the construction or testing of community designs.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising out of or related to the use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kigali, Rwanda.
